What is your favorite arcade game of all time??

My top three are:

Galaga - I kicked butt in that game.

Crystal Castles - not a game I saw much, but loved to play it when I could find it.

Centipede - I actally like the Mac computer version of it better. I keep an old Mac around just because I have that game downloaded on it!!

A totally frivolous answer.. :D

Growing up...PacMan

But I have to admit that I get all caught up in some of my kids video games now....like Medal of Honor......I actually made it all the way thru that game, and now working on Medal of Honor II

Okay...I guess I should have clarified my question better.

I am talking about those big old machines you had to go to an arcade and play!!

Heck...Burnet was too podunk to have a arcade. All we had was a PACMAN, Centipede, and pinball machine at the local burger joint Busters (now Storms)

My wife and I love Galaga...whenever we can find a machine we will play a few games. The kids kind of get tired of watching the old folks have all of the fun wink "Get away kids...your bothering your Mother and I"..."just one more game"...2 hours later (and 20 quarters)...still playing!!!

Galaga is by far my favorite!! One day I hope to own an actual arcade game of it. I wonder what they go for $$$??

I could start my kid's college fund off of the quarters!

Yeehaw!!!!

I just played Galaga for the first time in several years on that site.

Someone who plays Galaga go there and see if it is just me, or if the controls you use on your keyboard are opposite of that of the original game.

I kept wanting to shoot with my left/right curser and "steer" with my shooter!! :D :D

I can't wait to get home so I can play without having to worry about phones, bosses, etc!!!

I can't wait to get home so I can play without having to worry about phones, bosses, etc!!!I finally decided if I cross my arms and use my right hand on the space bar to shoot with, and my left hand on the curser keys to steer with, it feels much more "right"!!

But....in the original game, weren't there bonus levels?? I have got to level 15 so far, with no bonus level. I also don't remember the force shield.

Oh well...it's not as fun on here as the real thing was, but I am dedicated to getting my score in the top 10.

I had forgotten how tired your shooting finger gets playing this game. Especially as I am playing with my arms crossed on the keyboard!! :p

Don't know if it counts as an arcade game, but foosball was the original- started in the Army and actually owned a nice table someone gave us. We had foosball marathons at the house, finally got so good that none of our friends would play us anymore. We passed it on to someone of our buddies and I'm sure it was passed on from there. Sure was fun though- the original interactive arcade game.
