What do you think about this one. Apaches are probably one of the surprise teams of the year thus far. Questionable competition, but team is 3-0 after going 1-9 last year. Apaches and Cardinals have had some excellent games waaaaayy in the past. Used to be season opening opponents for each other.

Like you, not sure if GZ has played anyone yet. LV and Cuero has I know. SH opponent's caliber not sure. I see a 4-team race amongst you 4. Should be some good district battles between ya.

In regards to Columbus. Not sure how we beat them. But, their fans say they are improving weekly. If they can hand Rice a descent loss, they are a worthy opponent. Dumont has a solid team at Rice I know.

Should be a great game... Don't know much about Gonzalez but any team that is 3-0 must be doing something right... Columbus is gonna be riding the momentum they have from winning a huge rivalry game against the Rice Raiders so im gonna have to go with C-Town by a TD.

Coming off two good wins the Cards momentum will carry over to this game and hopefully the rest of the year like it did in our day. Gonzales being 3-0 is impressive and should be all the makings for a great highschool football game. Hope both teams play well and teams are at 100%.. With that being said I think the big wins the past two weeks push the Cards over the top and win by 6. 27-21 Cardinals.

I'm very excited about this game. I'm trying like heck to get to this game if I can get off work on time. Being a Gonzales alum, I have a lot of Columbus friends I met in college. I remember when the Cardinals used to be in our district back in the 80s. Always a good game. Basketball was even more intense. Gotta go with my Apaches, 28-7...

Dont worry folks he is a hater he said the raiders would beat the crap and march all over columbus (didn't happen)..... i predict a good game who ever wants it more will get this one 24-21 columbus (o-t)

Hey Lombardi,
I gotta admit that I had given up and quit listening when C town was up 26-7 and on the Apaches' 20 yard line. That comeback showed about as much heart as I have ever seen on the field. Is this the surprise 3A team in Region IV that you were talking about?
