Refugio is an outstanding team. Silvas didn't play after the first quarter due to injury, and they didn't miss a beat. His replacement Wetsil(sp) stepped up and made the most of his playing time. I heard he is a transfer from Calallen.

I like Refugio but they disappoint me every year. They start off strong but somehow find a way to lose in the playoffs.
They havent made or won the big dance in several years.
Maybe this will be the year.

I think Whetzel may be the leading rusher in spite of being the third option at running back.

Random comment: I made a pit stop in Refugio on my way back from Cuero. I saw the store
was selling Refugio shirts. So, I walk over to the rack to pick one out and they were all small. :(
