A ? for Gainesville

I noticed that Coach Cordell was in his first year as a head coach, anywhere. What happened to the head coach from last year, and was Cordell a coach at Gainesville last year? Pretty nice start for a new head coach. I can only remember one other coach that won a state championship his first head job, his first year. Toby York at Cameron.

Cordell was the defensive coordinator while Copeland was there...
maybe that explains why he is all about defense as a head coach.

Coach Cordell is a great coach, he taught me more about football then any other coach in any sport during my high school athletic career

from what i've heard, the team was really glad that cordell got the job. that is who they wanted.

he came to gainesville from west texas a&m my senior year (2000) and is a graduate of pottsboro. that's about all i can tell you...
