Well Props to Pilot Point they hung tough. Now for my take, defense needs to step up in the secondary they do good for 3 or 4 plays then allow the deep pass. The refs sucked big time tonight I think Celina had 3 personal fouls that should not have been called. Defense has to get better. Offense what can I say the O seemed somewhat flat tonight throwing 3 interceptions, but still put up 49 points. Anyways I feel that Celina left 2 or 3 td's off the board and the score should have been more. Anyways nice to be able to play flat and get screwed by the refs and still win by 21.

As usual, I made no predictions on the outcome of this game. I have to be honest though, I was not expecting PP to be as tough as they were. Props to them. It was a very hard fought game.

We were fortunate. You don't win many games when you have 5 turnovers. Defensive secondary needs some work, but love the effort and emotion I see from this team so far.

Can't really complain offensively and I would not say they were flat at all. Averaging 58 points a game and 535 yards of offense. Very balanced between run and pass. Jacob is very accurate as only 2 passes fell in complete. (Unfortunately 3 passes were not to Celina players.) I don't really understand that int late as we should have been trying to shorten the game. The running game is without a doubt unstoppable and if we stick with it I don't see us punting until the playoffs. This season has provided 3 of the longest games that I can remember with all the opponents passing combined with our own.

Defensively, we have a way to go against the pass. The good news it is almost impossible to convert every series when you pass and the chances of a stop or two is pretty good. I think this team may set three records. Most yards, most points and most points allowed by a Celina team.

What is frustrating is the lack of discipline in the personal fouls. I appreciate playing hard to the whistle but not being able to control yourself and retaliating is something I don't see the coaches allowing much longer.

Last night 4 miscues where huge. A couple of PF penalties resulted in points on 3rd down and long as well as the muffed punt to start the game and te fumble to start the 2nd half. In fact i think that the muffed punt after the 1st defensive stop was the biggest as it was a chance to set the tone after a great initial defensive series. The fumble on the first drive at the opening of the second half was also big emotionally for PP. In many ways Celina miscues teased PP and provided hope a critical points when they where in a postion to be demoralized. All together 4 miscues accounted for 28 of PP's 35 points. Fix that and we roll. I think that Butch will fix that!

Fun game to watch.....With 5 starters out heading into the second half..I figuered the numbers game would catch up with the 55 high school football participants from PP and it did....Very happy PP was able to move the ball for 35 points 360 yards and 20 first downs against a team with this caliber defense and numbers. The experience made the Bearcats better as a team.. PP should be just fine duiring district play. Hats off to Celina on the win.

I think that you hit the nail on the head. Two very good offenses. Two servicable defenses with potential to improve. Depth was the key. Celina had 1 kid that plays both ways, PP has many and when 2 of those go down it put you in a bind. Very impressed by the QB. PP will be fine if healthy and should finish 2nd in the district behind Argyle.
