big 4A game this week - #1 Lake Travis vs #2 Aledo

a lot of people say this is the week lake travis finally gets beat - a combination of injuries for lake travis and a brutal running game and an up and comer at qb give aledo the edge...

both are state champs from last year...


i think lake travis protects their home field and wins a close one...

There is no way that LT can beat Aledo w/o Floyd, Gillette, and especially Brewer out. IMHO

LT has also struggled to find a running game with last years MVP, RB Andy Erikkson graduating. I think that is going to hurt them in the playoffs against teams like SV and Tivy.

Brewer WILL PLAY, and the game is in Lakeway.

I had not heard about Tanner Gillette being hurt, but confirmed he had to sit out most of the 2nd half. Understand he is questionable for Friday.

I still think LT wins this game, but it might be pretty close.

Brewer at best is 50/50....and even if he does play he's far from 100%....Gillette is a 50/50 go also...
throw in the fact Floyd is out and Aledo takes this one...

Where do you get that Brewer is at best 50/50? As for Gillette, they have a pretty good kid on JV they are bringing up this week that should help quite a bit.

Like to follow Aledo quite alot because of LEs great battles with them in 98,99... We sent them on their way to 4A with a nice L.:p
LT has sent Longview home without an SC the past 2 years.:D

hey now I said on our 4A preview show before the season Aledo would win this one

All things being equal LT wins this one....Aledo won by 4 but LT had 3 of their top players out...I think that made a HUGE difference
