Here is an excercise for the slow days between games (or holidays)
The object of the game is to predict your teams path to the big game. You have to project your team as D1 or D2.
The rules:
1) You have to use the most current Dave Campbells top 25 as the basis for ranking
4) Highest ranked Top 25 teams must be selected as playoff teams over lower listed teams. For example Carthage, Gilmer, and Henderson make it over Pittsburg because they are the three higher ranked teams in that district.
3) If the top three teams in the district are not listed you have to justify why one non listed team would push another to D1 vs. D2. If its a toss up list both and that will be the debate.
4) Assume you keep winning and pedict the next opponent
5) You dont have to predict a winner the game is to project the path should your team advance.
This is the current top DCTF list. (through week 0)
1. Brownwood
2. Carthage
3. Argyle
4. Wimberlerly
5. Abilene Wylie
6. Prosper
7. Lucas Lovejoy
8. Celina
9. Giddings
10. Kennedale
11. West Orange-Stark
12. Kirbyville
13. Sealy
14. Gilmer
15. Cuero
16. Henderson
17. Bridgeport
18. Mexia
19. Pittsburg
20. Brookshire Royal
21. Caldwell
22. Navasota
23. Texarkana Liberty-Eylau
24. Graham
25. Waco La Vega
Celina's D1 Path to #9!
Bidistrict-Sanger or Argyle I think that Sanger gets in with district wins over PP or Aubrey for third.
Area- None for D1
Regional- Lovejoy
Quarters- Henderson ranked ahead of Pittsburg for 3rd spot and would go D1.
Semis R1 v R2- AW
Finals R3R/4 Winner- Wimberly
