After not playing each other the past few seasons, Yoakum and Hallettsville renew their rivalry. Towns are only 17 miles apart. Who will it be? Class 2A Hallettsville or Class 3A Yoakum?

I haven't seen Hallettsville play this year but I have seen Yoakum. The Bulldogs are better than the score would indicate against La Grange. They have a huge line on both sides of the line of scrimmage and some very talented skill players. They will improve a great deal this season and by district will roll. This is going to be their breakout game. Bulldogs by a lot.

Hallettsville is having a down year and is not a very good football team right now. If Yoakum cant win this game it will be a long season with the teams left on their schedule. This should be a no brainer picking the bulldogs to win by at least 3-4 tds.

Hallettsville doesn't have a whole lot this year, so i'll take the Dawgs by 21...

Did Trey Hights go play college ball? He was a good RB.

Word from the Hallettsville camp is that the Brahmas have a few tricks up their sleeve and that they really don't want to go 0-3 and that this may be their only chance at getting a win this season. I wonder what the Bulldogs think about that? I don't think anyone really wants to lose this one because it's sort of a rivalry game for braggin' rights. I still like the Bulldogs in this one, 35-13, despite the confidence that's brewing in the Brahma camp.

Didn't Refugio score 70 points against Hallettsville last week and Ganado 35 the week before?

Looks like Tommy Psensik has tough time durin his first season but they have winless Palacios the following Friday

Yoakum will hit on all cylinders this week. The indoor practice facility pays off this week, Dogs win Homecoming easy, 50-14.

After watching Yoakum not do well AT ALL yesterday, I do not think the Varsity will do any better.
