...The Varsity football squad is playing a pretty good Wharton team this weekend, and if the players and staff are looking past the Tigers as much as the fans are then they will be in a bit of trouble...
Nothing against Burnet, because I have seen nothing but class from that town and football program in the recent past. It still amazes me what the community did for the injured Everman player. Having said that, SOME Burnet fans strike me as being some of the most overconfident and downright arrogant people I have ever come across. Your football team is very good, but I promise you that Saturday they better be ready to play. Wharton is for real.
P.S. I realize how good the Burnet coaches are and understand they will not let the players overlook Wharton. Burnet will be prepared and will win a close contest 34-24.
My point...please quit talking about next week when you are preparing for a dogfight this week.
