OK, I think he was trying to through pass. Even with intentional grounding the result of the play would be better than what he ended up with. Problem is the ball just did not go forward. I think he was not stupid, just could not execute! I could be wrong!

You know...


When someone is wrongfully running the opposite way, thinking they are going forward, at least they are "trying" to do the right thing...and most of the time give it 100% effort to that.

But in this case they guy is actually trying to run back toward the opposite endzone....thus making it way more STUPID in my opinion.

This has to be up there....but you have to give the guy credit for trying hard though..

1. He didn't give up on the play.
2. He was focused in the right direction with hi helmet.
3. He did think at the last minute about a forward pass incompletion...which he tried pretty darn hard to accomplish.


So he basically did everything a coach would teach him to... except use common sense.
