Ha ha, yeah I figured I'd get that reminder after my intemperate remark.:D

We have one of the longest rivalries in Texas and right now the Buffs have won the last 7 games, four of them by 7 or less points. This year may be different and the Leps will be looking to turn the tide. Tough loss to a talented BR team especially at home and first game on the new turf. See yall in October.

Just messing with ya Pudlugger. Last years LG game was great.

Last night was tough because we were sooo close!

I am glad we play yall at home because the visitor stands are so bad at LG. No telling how much I have lost falling through the bleachers.

Yeah the stadium is showing its age especially on the visitor side. Now that the baseball team has their new digs maybe they can upgrade the football stadium. I suppose if we return to the winning ways of 1999-2003 (and it looks like we are) the ISD could invest in a new visitors side and locker room.

Even though the buffs lost, it was nice to not see so many false starts and illegal procedure calls. But the 3 fumbles is what really killed us. They need to give the ball to the sophomore running back more, I think he's #28, at least 10-12 carries a game would be good. He's more of a big play maker, where #20 Rimes is more of a pound it up the middle guy.

A loss at this time of the season isn't so bad.
Congrats to Brookshire. Yall's RB will play D1 football for sure, that dude is super fast. Hope he stays healthy for yall guys.

I was told we fumbled 5 times although we were lucky to get the one turnover in the last quarter. This is primarily why we lost. BR actually got called for a PF for some late attempts at ball stripping after the whistle. They are really good/bad (depending on whose side your on) at ball stripping.

The inability to score extra points contributed almost as much to the loss as the fumbles. Five TD's and only 1 PAT? I was there and was very impressed with the BR RB and his breakaway speed.

The total lack of a passing game, while not unusual for the Buff's, gave BR the opportunity to simply stack the line and wait to see which way Giddings would run.

I think the reason giddings tried to run so hard is because wharton ran for 348 and only 67 in the air so IMO they felt that running was a better opition for them just didn't work but giddings did run hard when given then space

I said BR would get beat by 35. I must be a man and say I was wrong about this one. BR running back is special. He has speed and power. The BR team is very big. My hat is off to this team. They are the best 3a team i have seen this year.
