they are just given a ton of respect on this board but after watching the game last week vs wimberley I don't really expect a whole lot from
them season. They were basically a three man team.

I've heard the argument about their lines having to play both ways but their o-line looked awful from the start so that doesn't really carry too much weight. I hope they can turn things around in the second half though

Well, Port Isabel is also 0-2 yet again. Too many people are saying "OMG SWITCH TO THE SPREAD ALREADY" when the sad reality is, a run based offense like the Slot-T still works.

Props to Liberty Hill with sticking to their guns and running the ball instead of playing what I call "Basketball On Grass". To me, there's nothing more boring than watching two spread teams play. I mean, I freaking get goose bumps when I see an option or Slot-T team bust an 80-yard run.

that last 14 minutes was wild. LH was up 20-7 and in the last 14 minutes the score jumped to LH 36-28. Way to go panthers. this team has something special. so many kids stepping in at crucial moments and contributing positively.

Also, it was Blake Thompson who threw 1-for-3 passing for 29 yards, and Caleb Greer had the reception for 29 yards (not the other way around as it says on the stats)

Yes he did, threw a 2-pt conversion to Josh Woodbury.

Zack Leger and Johnny Johnston also ran for 2-pt conversions..

A quick look at the stats (if they are accurate) tell the story. FIVE turn overs by Cuero, ZERO by LH. Three fumbles and two interceptions will get the best teams beat by even mediocre teams (not to say LH is mediocre, too early to tell!!). Good job LH on holding onto the ball.

I think there were 4 Cuero turn overs in the Wimberley game, but Wimberley turned it over a couple times as well.

Fix the turn overs and penalties, and Cuero will be the usual tough team to beat.

Not much chatter on this one. Usually this would be a Game of the Week. Both teams need a win to get on tract again.
