Trying to remember how long the drive is up there and a good place to eat.

Sinton has some injuries, and they have only had a couple of scrimmages. Hard to predict out come of this one, but we will be there. Now that I am SHS Band Members Father.

Hondo loooked very solid against Bandera. They made very few mistakes on offense, and were more aggressive on defense. I'm not sure if Hondo is that good or if Bandera just has a lot of things to work on.

Sinton passing game has looked very good in scrimmage against CC Ray with 2 td passes and Refugio with 3 td passes. Sinton running game didnt have much success in their scrimmages but i think they will also be strong in that phase of the game. Defensively at the line is where they have missed the injured players but has given the backups a chance to get some experience early. I think they're more than ready to get this season going :)

Might be a little shorter if you bypass San Antonio. At George West, you can swing over from IH37 to 281 and go around the west side of San Antonio and then hit 90 west. Bypassing SA city traffic could save you a little time.

That is the best way to go. I'm like you. Done it so many times I have it on "automatic pilot". lol
BTW it is 2.2 hours to 2.5 hours to get to Hondo from Sinton, depending on speed and number of DPS in between.:D

I think that Hondo is a good team but just does not have the athletic guy who can break at any point. QB is big kid and is a good thrower and runner. I think Sinton is a good team and will control the ball and win the game and that is because of Coaching. Hondo is a great place to play a football game. Billy Bob's Burgers is good but I like Hermann Son's Steak House myself right there on Hwy 90 and tx 173. Also McBee's BBQ is really good as well and that is in downtown Hondo.

Let's just hope we don't suffer anymore injuries. We are depleted enough as it is.

I think we may get some of the kids back this week, but I don't know if they are at 110% :D

Where ever you decide to eat do not choose Billy Bob's. Their "quality" is not what it used to be. I have heard disturbing things about what goes on in the kitchen there. It used to be one of my favorite places but I will never eat food from there again unless they make some drastic changes.

The Owls will be ok. No signifacant injuries so far. The Owls never ran an offensive play in the 4th qtr tonight. The defense has to get stronger. They play a couple of long time rivals in 4A Medina Valley and 4A Uvalde the next two weeks before district starts.

Got to have been one of the WORST officiated games I have seen in a long time. The line judge on Sinton side was horrible. All of them miss calls at times, after all it is High School football. And it may be his first game of the year too, but this man was the worst. just my 2 cents.......

he used it when Sinton moved or did something wrong, but he missed a couple of facemask calls, the back judge 30 yards away threw the flag for holding....... It was just horrible. he must live in Hondo or something....lol.

I like when they called Sinton for delay of game when there was an injury time out. And they penalized Sinton and never thought twice about it.... Horrible.....
