yes but only to throw bottles and large round objects at the tuba players from the stands hoping to land a hit inside the tuba. I landed a Coke bottle last week from 30 yards outs.

Yes, I do. But, my attorney is looking into how much liability some schools may incur for injuries when I fell during their SLOW, BORING, SNORING, CHOKE THE MASCOT AND MAKE THEM STOP SONGS!!!!!!

YES...I the the schools that have the similar sounding slow wave your arm in the air while taking a nap school song. Ours is quick, upbeat, and to the point...thats the way it needs to be.

Before realignment, 3 of the schools in our district had the same school song....not the same words of course, but the same tune. There's a random bit of useless knowledge for you all. :)

Of course. Wouldn't you want people on the other side to stand for your own school song?

Wow. I guess I am in the minority here so far. I usually do not, unless the announcer calls for it.

And no, I really don't think it is disrespectful and do not care if they stand during ours.

+1

Would an Aggie stand for The Eyes of Texas, or a Longhorn Stand for Spirit of Aggieland?

I think not.

I do, but usually just because I'm still standing from when our boys ran out onto the field and through the national anthem and I'm waiting for the kick off.

Or because I'm enjoying the alternate version of their school song that's been around since long before I graduated. "Flap, Eagles, flap...." :D :D :D

The majority of the time I do not have a connection to either team so I just sit through both songs.

Thanks for pointing out to us that you watch the games in air conditioned comfort while the rest of us are left exposed to the elements! Mr. Bling is one of you, too. He waves to me from the pressbox and just grins! :D :D :D
Nice work if you can get it! :D

The way I look at it is I work really hard on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to write previews, talk to coaches etc...getting to stay out of the elements and eat free food is my reward..LOL

Every game I go to, the school songs are played well before the players run out on the field and the national anthem is played.

BTW, who determines what is the "right" thing regarding school songs?

You play school songs before the players go out? Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose? I think our games actually go in this order:

1. players run out to fight songs
2. school songs
3. national anthem

But honestly I start standing when the players run out and don't sit down until I have to.
