Lost alot to graduation. They should still contend for a playoff spot.

Anywhere GA coaches he contends. He gets more out of less than anybody I have ever seen. So I sure would not count them out.

They open with Plainview OK this week so no matter what happens we still may not know much. Next week they play Liberty Christian and we know that LC throttled Pilot Point.

Yeah, but the Price kid at QB for PP lit up Liberty for something like 360 yards and 3 TDs. That may be a school record for PP as much as they normally run.

He had a HUGE game....against the backups. The score was 43-14 at the start of the 4th qtr. He rolled up most of his numbers against LC's 2nd defense. PP may really gel and make the passing thing work for themselves but it may take a while. The Price kid was their only running threat too. He carried the whole thing.

I believe it was a school record, and it was LC by 15, they have a good ball club You can't give up 27 first half points off turnovers to a caliber of a team like Liberty and expect to win many.....JP will continue to get better.....PP will correct the turnovers, the many youngsters will gel, the new offense will continue to improve...... this team will only get much better and should be damn good come cuttin time.:)

Aubrey battles for 3rd with Sanger, and the front runners stay the same.

Argyle
Pilot Point
Sanger/Aubrey
Whitesboro/Gainsville.

21 of the bearcats were off of a short field....3 turnovers inside their own 15....do the math

Giving up over 300 yards of rushing isn't good either.

Giving up 300 on the ground can be overcome more easily then 27 points off 4 turnovers before halftime. 3 teams hammerd PP for 300+ on the ground last year, but the turnovers just werent there. Those 3 were wins. PP will be just fine. :)

I disagree there. Ball control equals keeping the defense on the field and the offense off. Hard to score if you don't have the ball. Hard to keep the other team from scoring when your defense is on the field too long.

Gotcha.......... IMO it was the turnovers not the rushing yards that beat PP.

Well they never help that is for sure. Give the other guy a short field and you usually lose
