Help me - help a GREAT cause!!

Hey guys & gals -

Me & a bunch of my co-workers have signed up for a 5K walk on Saturday, October 23rd in Corpus Christi to benefit breast cancer. The walk is put on by the American Cancer Society: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Our team name is Exhibits A thru DD ;)

I have set a personal goal of $200. I would really appreciate any donation amount, but please do not feel obligated to donate.

Rita - I'll contact my brother in law in Corpus.. he is regional manager of a company and I think he'd be interesting in contributing to this great cause (since my mother in law has been battling cancer and his mom died of cancer) I'll let you know what he said..

It seems a challenge has been thrown down!!! My co-worker and a poster on the 2A message board has had $300 donated to this cause by her fellow board posters!!!

Now, I realize some of you may not like me personally, but that shouldn't stop you from donating, if you are able, to this great cause and besides we can't let the 2A board beat us!!! :D

Hey Rita...what a great thing to do. My daughter is the Executive Director for Susan G. Komen...Austin Affiliate. I will try to donate but may not can. I am in Aruba and I can't access a lot of secured web pages. Darn I can't even look at Smoaky LMAO

I have asked him...he has yet to donate. :(

I started off with a personal goal of $200. I reached that goal, so I increased it to $400 and am currently sitting at $285 with 37 days left to raise money. There is still plenty of time for anyone to donate to this great cause. :)

Our team is currently tops in the area for money raised. We have raised $2,120 to date. :cheerl:

Christie has a goal of 5000.00 for the Susan G. Komen race in Austin in Nov.
This is her first year as Exe Director for the Austin affiliate. Hopefully she can reach her goal.

Personal goal raised to $700. $550 raised, $150 to go.

I don't know if all the money has been tabulated, but our team turned in $6,413.18. Good enough for 2nd place and just $32 shy of reclaiming our lead. :( All that matters is that it all goes to a worthy cause. :)

It was a beautiful day for the walk and there were so many people there. I look forward to doing this every year. It was such a great experience.
