Sorry, but I don't have any info yet. Michael came back in but wasn't very mobile. :( The reall problem was the others, no info on them yet either.

Spread team pretty balanced. They were young last year played lights out one game and couldn't do anything right the next. Not sure what to tell you about this year other than they beat Gainesville.

Thank-you for that. How will the Farmers do?;)

Not good. They have the talent and potential to do great things, but they are a very young team. This may be a rebuilding year for us. They will be competitive in most of their ballgames this year, but may come up on the short end of the stick for the majority of their games this year. However, outside of Lovejoy and Prosper, I still like their chances to get 3rd in district and make the playoffs eventhough they may only have a 4-6 record to show for it! Lovejoy will get some payback on the Farmers this year! I think Prosper is the team to beat in the district right now though.

A defensive starter for Lovejoy broke his thumb in the last game.

BEAST Rumor is high ankle sprain. He should be able to play. Again just what I heard.

If it was indeed a high ankle sprain, depending on the severity, it should be at least a few weeks, before he comes back.:(

I hope not, high ankle sprains can take a long time to recover. Best of luck to him, hope what ever it is it is minor and he is able to get right back at it.

If it is a high ankle sprain he better take at least a month off doing nothing on that Ankle. In 08 Former Celina runningback Charlie Waldrep hurt his ankle in two a days and he never fully recovered and missed alot of games.

Lovejoy appears to have an excellent training staff and I am sure that they started treating it as soon as the game ended to keep the swelling down. The big deal is, no matter the severity, the ligaments will be weak for awhile and he will have a bunch of tape on it.

Again I am basing this assumption on rumor!!

Keep your head up Charlie district is still 5 wks away, so even if Michael is out a couple of weeks you guys will have plenty of time to make a good run and may even help by getting a younger QB some reps. I am sure that solid info will emerge tomorrow.:D :D

I believe Celina took Waldrep to a specialist, but he was still never 100%. If it is a high ankle sprain unless he sits out for atleast a month he won't ever be fully healthy.

Your right of course, just depends on severity. I was an Athletic Trainer,
not student. Of course, there have been numerous advancements.

Hope the best for the young man and the team. It's been said a billion times injuries can destroy a team. The good news is it's early in the season and he has time to heel up if the coaches let him.

Thank-you, coaches and Training staff are conservative. I'm
confident they won't rush any of the youngsters.:)

Paris hasn't won a playoff game since the 1988 4A Finals over WO-S.... LL should win this but I'm rooting for Paris. (no offense) We want a rematch!

I believe that Lovejoy is a lot like Wylie and has some depth on the bench and will be fine..

Paris is extremely young and very small. We start no seniors on offense and only two on defense. Our best linebacker is out with injury.
I'm afraid this will be a blowout. Looking at our teams chances for the year, I could easily see us winning 3 games, possibly 4 if Atanta falls apart before the last game.

Paris will be real athletic but it's been a LONG time since they won a game against a good opponent in a meaninful setting...this is just non-district but Lovejoy's gonna come out strong after losing last week....I think they roll with or without Means...

I don't know on this one... Paris played Lindale well last year and LL without Means would be pretty similar... I would say this could be a tossup.

We're not as good as we were last year, not that we were good last year by any means. We have decent quarterback and some pretty fair recievers but that's about it.
I'd like to see us play a good game but have lots of doubts.

When we scrimmaged y'all last year there were several very young (sophomores), very large (6'2"+, 245+) offensive linemen. Where did they go?

Those sophs. are now juniors. We are a very young team, but i think we are talented.Overall I like this team better than last years, with the exception of the o-line. This i think is our weakest position because of youth. I definately like this years defense better than last years.
