Region III Week 1 GotW: Brookshire-Royal @ Giddings

Well deserving of region 3 game of the week. Both teams coming off of wins Br winning over wharton 40-28 with 2 touchdown plays called back. Giddings beatin burnett 28-14 and not giving up score till the fourth. This game is one I've been waiting for will the buffs defense be able to stop the falcons offense led by OU commit brandon williams. I know its early but the week will roll by fast!

Give me my falcons in a close one 28-21

Giddings will show up this time. Last year was not the norm for Buffalo football in the game against Royal. I do not even remember this Williams kid last year but I DO remember that Carthage kid year before. He was amazing.

I was there too. I've been watching the Buffs play since '02 and that was the worst performance I've ever seen on both sides of the ball.

Giddings will be ready for Friday, we are healthy and our defence is super strong. The futuer Sooner may have a long night comming. This is a payback game!! The buffs remember!! The funniest thing that comes to mind from last year game, was the half time show! WOW!!!

I expect this will be a good game. Giddings definetely wants to prove that 7 turnovers last year is not the norm. BR deserved the win last year and we didn't.

that "montgomery qb" threw was it 3 or 4 int's last year IN THIS GAME.

We had 7 turnovers, it was ugly.

He was a senior last year, so he's long gone. I think you'll see a much different style of offense this year.

Truthfully, I think the game will be close. However, as a fan, I want the Buffs to STAMPEDE so strong, they will have a moment of silence before every game in the state to remember the Royals!!!:1popcorn:

Should be fine! The fireman hosed it down last friday before the game to wash off a film on it and also get rid of some resedual vapors. They supposidly dumped a lot of what on it late that afternoon.

I agree. All those procedure calls and false starts are what really drives me crazy. If the Buffs have a lot of those penalties they will have a hard time winning against Brookshire. Let's hope they get it together and not make silly mistakes.

Williams is legit. That young man has a pair of afterburners. Both teams played all out football. BR has a great team. My hat is off to you guys. Many lead changes. We had our chances.

What I liked to see was the Buffs played disciplined ball. I think only 1 illegal procedure. I sure wish the coach would pass the ball to a tight end slipping past the linebacker. It was there all night. Just need to practice it and do it. But maybe he's holding his trump cards close to heart waiting for when it really counts. I am also proud that we fought tooth and nail until the end. I can't remember how many fumbles we gave up but I feel it was the difference in the game. Congrats to BR for having a great team. I'm pretty sure you guys will give your district opponents all they can handle.

We scored 31 points and fumbled ball 5 yes 5 times take away fumbles enough said ya Williams is good wish he go to collage in Texas oh well we fumbled 7 time when we played last take them away we win but that is how the ball bounces hope yall win the rest of your games have a good season oh ya the # 5 classy player could have showboated and didn't got my respect!
