Had a couple of different fights in our game Thurs night. Players from both sides ejected.
Does UIL get involved anytime there is a fight?

Not unless there is something remarkable about it. If a coach gets ejected, that is another thing all together.

Yea, nothing major, but it looked bad.
One of our players ran back a blocked extra point down the Mercedes side line, got tackled at the 50 yr line into the heart of the Mercedes bench. Took a couple of kicks while he was down and got up swinging.

Robstown and RH had a little throw down in the first qtr and just unsportsman on both sides.

Cal and King had a few skirmishes but nothing that led to any ejections.

The coaching staff has to take control of their players, and this starts before the game.
If they let their kids trash talk, get up in another players face, etc... then they are asking for a potential problem.

In the Bay City-Sweeny game a DE for BC threw two punches at different Sweeny olinemen. He was ejected early in the first. Not sure but I think the UIL suspends the ejected player for the following week.

The game officials are the ones who can control this by not allowing the trash talk. A few flags and unsportsman like conduct 15 yarders will solve the problem.
