Monster Taipei is gone, Japan won 3-2. Up next, Texas vs. Hawaii for the US Championship. Starts shortly on ABC.

Not looking good for Texas in the 1st, hawaii is up 4-0 with a runner on 3rd, two outs, Texas needs to get it together NOW!!!

Hawaii is a tough little team. They lost the first game they played and have battled through four straight elimination games to get here. Texas was 4 runs down in the last game and put on a late surge to win. Maybe they can do it again. Here's hoping for them.

Not looking so good right now. Hawaii up 7-0 going to the bottom of the 5th.

Bottom of the 6th still down 7-0. Dang losing this one will put them in the consolation round against Taipei.

Ouch is right....I give credit to Hawaii, they are a really good team. Should be 2 interesting match ups in the consolation and championship.

It didn't turn out as well as Pearland had hoped, but you gotta give them this: They are one of the top four Little League teams in the entire world. Nothing shabby about that IMO.

I know, I just wish there could be 1 Super League where everyone could play. In Texas you have TTAB and the Pony League which imo have great teams that could compete easily. The real talent is in select ball though. You have Super Series, Triple Crown, USSSA, and maybe a few others.

1. Everyone wants their kid to go to a state championship and a world series.

2. There are some folks making some $$ off of concessions, hotel and such at these different venues.

Oh yeah, I totally understand that it would never happen. Those select tournament make so much money (gate fee, concessions, team fees).

they are the second best usa team. considering they never played an international team, you can't really argue they are top 4 just because the tournament is set up like that.

Yes I can. The international teams other than Japan and Taipei are not nearly at the level these four are.

Well the monster got them too. Taipei wins 14-2. Not all that bad considering Taipei was putting 20+ on everybody they played besides japan. Japan is leading Hawaii 2-1 in the bottom of the 5th.
