La Grange picks up the win over 4A Lockhart, LG defense pretty much dominated and the offense did enough to get the win. Congrats Leps.

Had guests and a broken water pipe last night so just now getting on the board. The defense is already salty and will challenge all comers this year. The offense is a pup and needs to be nursed along a little but will emerge a mean dog. We had too many dumb penalties which cost us two tds in the second quarter( a long td pass to Wilkerson called back for pushing off, then a few plays latter a holding call on a lineman on the same td pass play to Wilkerson!). The defense was deprived of a well deserved shutout late in the 4th when the center snapped the ball over the head of Wilkerson the punter giving the Lions a short field on the 17. The defense scored a td on a great pick and looked like they have been playing together for the entire season. The offense showed much improvement over scrimmages and if they get the rhythm will roll this year. Young Lep qb Vinklarek will be a good one when he gets his mojo going which looks like it will be soon. Go Leps!

Great job Leps. I agree with Pud and Hook, defense was stellar and offense will only get better. Do need to limit those penalties. JV team was just as successful Thursday night, so the continued success for LG football looks bright. Congrats to the coaching staff and Coach Kates on his first win as a Head Coach. With the smooth transition of a new coaching staff .... YES WE CAN! YES WE WILL! LEAVE NO DOUBT! LG FOOTBALL 2010.
