My kid goes to a 3A school here in Louisiana. We have a new coach this year and our numbers for kids out for football have jumped from 57 to 124. For some reason the team does not look as conditioned and you would think we would have better atheletes on the field but it doesn't appear that way. Could it be that the team is diluted now with less athletism? Your thoughts.

Probably just need some higher quality H2O.

Seriously ... though ... as long as the additional kids are not a disruption to the coaching a preparation ... they have got to help.

The old coach was very tough and some kids would quit because they thought he was an a**, but they were always prepared. We have a very strange thing in where we have 7th and 8th grade at the same high school so these students count agaist our enrollment. They put us in 3A where we would be in 2A if they were in a different school. The new coach leans toward the older boys even though some of them are in their first year.
