maybe squad.....did not earn a letter. Maybe does it fall into the experience column?

Yes

It says SO-SQ* under experience

SQ means they were on the practice squad a year ago. They did not letter but were on the practice squad and was ineligible for a red shirt.

pretty much a walkon player. Mack does allow a certain amount of them to suit up for home games but its high highly unlikely they ever see the field.
