Any suggestions for a good dinner. Would prefer something that is exclusive to Victoria (A Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives type place).

The Corral on the Houston Highway is good - nothing fancy but good food. Dairy Treat on the corner of Crestwood and Laurent has great hamburgers and homemade soft ice cream. Dairy Treat has no dining room - so you eat in the car..

Hungrys-Thirstys on the corner of Laurent and Airline.

Dress code: no hats, but its really not fancy or anything. I just think the original owner didn't like cowboy hats or caps...

Get a chicken fried steak. One of the best I've ever had. Sandwiches are good as are the chefs salads.

There is a Cajun food place out at Coleto reservoir. Can't remember the name but they have good food and cold beer.:D

For mexican: La Hacienda on Navarro by the mall...

Burgers: Jim's or Double J eatery, both off Navarro across from Lowe's...

Victoria for its size doesn't have a lot of real good originals though the few are really good...

Hungry Thirsty Jacks was a good suggestion...
