There are 14 different teams listed in the 3 polls. I added all the rankings together and divided them by either 3, 2, or 1 depending on if a team is ranked in all 3, 2, or 1 of the polls and here is what I got.

1) Brownwood avg. 1.67
2) Lovejoy avg 2.67
2) Carthage avg 2.67
3) Cuero avg 4.34
4) Prosper avg 5.50
4) Gilmer avg 5.50

actually still would not be completly correct because teams like snyder that were only listed on one of the three top 10 would be lower than 9.0 If they were 12 on both the other two list it would be an average of 11.... just saying.... cause.... welll cause i was a math major in college and crap like that just bugs me.... has nothing to do with football.... sorry

I understand you lookin, I am a numbers guy also. However, a team that was in all 3 polls were rewarded because they got their number divided by 3 rather than 2 or 1. They higher the number that was divided by, the lower the avg went. That, and all I had to work off of was top 10s.

thanks the statistical analysis of the polls bothered me...Giddings is listed in all three polls unlike 4 or 5 other teams yet somhow their ranked last by average but thats incorrect because they are obviously ranked above those teams in other polls

Correct any team not listed in top 10 should be given at least a 11 for that poll.
