Right now, AT&T has a contract with Apple to exclusively carry the iPhone.

So it's not a matter of when other carriers will decide to carry the iPhone, it's a matter of when will this exclusive period end.

Rumor is Apple has started working on a CDMA (Verizon) iPhone code named N92. It is in the early stage of development.

If the rumors come true, it is scheduled to be released possibly in January 2011.
