Was finally able to see the highlights of the 7 on 7 state tourney on FSN this morning. Looked like there had to be at least 20 people at the game. Was great that FSN was able to spend so much time, energy, effort, and money on the event. Very sad that they can not find the same resources to cover the UIL state baseball tournament.

I would love to see them cover the baseball championships but football will always dominate. As of now FSN or any other network barely covers college baseball.

The FSN did a tremendous job on the 7 on 7. They had post game interviews with players and everything. It is a wonderful experience for all the players involved to be seen on tv and to get exposure. If you want exposure from any media outlet and do not either play football or are a big wig in the Democratic Party, you are SOL.

I don't understand bringing politics into this. It's not even accurate. In Texas there ARE NO Dem bigwigs. The last time one won a statewide office was 1994, IIRC.

As the Iceman King Parsons use to say "Mama says it be that way sometimes... have mercy"

1 night this week, there was a 16-18 yr old baseball game on ESPN-2, some type of WS tour. going on. The 11-12 yr old WS is on ESPN and ABC each yr. Baseball gets covered more than U know. Maybe check the tv guide some time, U may be surprised:eek:

Simply put Fox is puttin on their show what people want to see. If they were just trying to be fair they would show the exact same anout of baseball as they do football but then they would have to show the same amount of softball as they show baseball... wait dont forget to make it fair for boys and girls basketball, volleyball, track, cross country, boys and girls soccer. Heck, better throw in some swimming and one act play!

Im just thinking that if there is SO much interest in 7 on 7, then there would have been more than 20 people at the actual game. I just believe the tv execs push what they think the public is interested in. Much like showing Lindsay Lohan going into and out of jail. There are thousands of people who do this everyday, why should she get more exposure? Some exec thinks its news so they hype it and turn it into news.
