This is the first I have heard of this.

I have heard about that, but I don't think it's solid yet. I think it depends on any offers he gets later. He's been a relative unknown so far. That will definitely change this year.

He is a rock, in the playoffs he was slowed down with a hammy. He is going to be running for over 1000 this year. He is a beast. But shhhhhh were in a rebuilding year.:D :D :D

I haven't heard anything about him going to Tulsa either.

At a UT camp ealier this year, he was awarded the top RB of the camp.

Wait, I lied. He was awarded MVP of the RB at the TCU camp, not UT.

Sorry about the confusion.

Gus is a great kid known him since he was 7 out at the baseball fields. Over the last year he has really worked on his speed and quickness. He will be very good this year.

I spoke to his mom about a month ago and at that time she mentioned there a good bit of interest in a couple D1 schools (one was a Big 12) and the other a major college in Texas. She did tell me he was not really interested in a UT or OU type situation where he may be lost in the shuffle of things, he wanted a smaller D1 type school. I am not gonna mention any schools cause that is not how I roll but with the Big 12 , should be a good idea with what I said

Must've been a rumor then, but I did hear about him possibly considering Tulsa from a Level 2 source, though....:D

Yes, I heard he ran a 3.94 in the 40, and benched 1073 lbs. He is a hoss!!!

That is probably a smart move. Seems like a good fit in what Tulsa does and he'll get more PT earlier than he would at a bigger school.

I know the O-line coach at Houston (Billy Jim Anderson), he's from Van. He recruits this area pretty heavy.

I watched Gus last year and was very impressed at his quickness. Everyone talks like he's the man. Hope he does well and stays healthy. Good athletes deserve a chance to have a good season and a shot at their dreams. Hope he shines now that the attention is not all on Darian.

Wasn't saying he didn't deserve the attention he got, was just pointing out that sometime others get overlooked when one star shines so brightly.

Darian is a great athlete. He deserved his time in the spotlight. I was just saying I hope Gus gets his time now.

Sorry if it seemed I did not think Darian was deserving of the attention he got. That was not my intention.

I know, I was just playing, saw Gus at College Station, looks like (has the body of) a big time D1 OLB (already bulked up)
