San Diego Padres pitcher Mike Adams is coming home. For one night, anyway.
The former Sinton High and Texas A&M-Kingsville star is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with the San Antonio Missions Thursday at Whataburger Field, in the series finale against the Hooks.
Adams has been on the disabled list since July 16th nursing a strained oblique muscle and was told by Padres manager Bud Black that he'd pitch one inning.
In 41 innings as San Diego's setup man this season, Adams (2-1) has allowed just 10 runs and struck out 46 batters.
