Alot of good ones out there, Shipley could be a D1 corner if he could lay the (Brown) wood , Williams who won state in the 200.

But I have to go with Cedric Reed from Cleveland, 6'6 245, While also averaging a +10 rebounds and points in basketball.

I really dont keep up with all of 3A so I am not saying he is the best athlete in 3A but Derick Longoria is no slouch

Can play any postion on the football field with force. Great basketball player, runs hurdles and throws shot put.

As for football, he is killer on defense, special teams and running back as well as all state punter. I was told last year when we were playing rotating QB's he wanted to play QB and prob would have been the best we had except Shipley would not have let him play defense if he was QB

You beat me to it. As far as football athletes go, hes as complete as any weve had through here in a long time. Jax is a specialist at what he does and he is amazing at it. But, Derek can do it all. We put him at wideout in 7 on 7 for jump balls in the endzone. He can outjump Jaxon. Hes a really good athlete.

I know Texas has some great athletic kids that I'm not even aware of. Derek Longoria is one of them. Went to school with a kid like him in Aransas Pass. Any sport he tried, he was one of the best at it. Didn't matter what it was; football, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf... heck even door frame Nurf basketball. lol

Brownwood is glad they've got him.:)

The kid could dunk a basketball as a freshman, flat footed.

Seriously, he's one of those guys you can throw ANY sport or athletic event at him, and he will excell at it. That's an all around total athlete IMHO.
