Lots of good ones out there, BUT, without question, Jaxon Shipley.

Obviously Shipley by a mile, but Wilkerson from La Grange and Fulford from Graham are very good as well, although wilkerson is out of the spread and I don't know how he'll do this year, while fulford may move to QB I don't know how he'll do.

:D

On another level, there are some really good receivers out there I know.

Who else would be candidates?

I would say Shipley should look good this year unless he meets this guy...

I heard a rumor that he is back at LE... but it's just a rumor.

I think Shipley still wins that battle, but it's a moot point. He's still at CHill.

Did you even watch the game part? (Not taking any respect away from Shipley, some of the guys on his team just shouldn't have been there) Southwest got beat by Southeast like 30-0 or 36-0, it was ugly, but still after watching it my conclusion is

Florida high school ball isn't as good as Texas high school ball :D

He COULD, I think he will. he just may get unlucky due to the change in offense in La Grange, but when they do pass it, it's going to number 9! :D

Wilkerson had some killer stats last year. It will be between him and Shipley for the top spot. It is possible, just possible, they could meet up in a state championship game if LG steps up and Brownwood doesn't lose to themselves in the playoffs.

In D-23, Wilkerson will be king, so Navasota's Tevin Creeks will have to have a big showing this year to draw any comparison.

Not even close. The Spread is gonna hurt you guys if you haven't run it. At least a 1-2 year installation time, unless you have a stud QB.

LG will have a def advantage in 3A by running it in the future.

Agreed with you totally, what do ya think the chances are of Jaxon breaking his older brothers (state record 1A-5A) 1600 yards in a single season ! :D. I think it's possible, but FAR from easy.

False. Its only 160 a game. Many of those games he could have that by halftime.

Nahh, its 2999. Joking aside, if we make the deep run everyone projects and stay healthy, he could have 2500.

I think Shipley IS the best going into the season. He is a phenomenal athlete. Getting recruited by the U of Texas and a verbal committment before his senior season ever starts is a testament to that. I do think there will be others in the state that will have just as good numbers by the time it's all said and done, however.
