An announcement will come down Monday saying TCU has secured funding for a complete renovation of Amon Carter Stadium....construction will begin right after the final home game...the 2010 Armed Forces Bowl will be at SMU this year

Good for TCU, but unfortunately they will still have problems selling it out.
Been to several TCU games over the years. You can walk up on game day and get a ticket. It's a shame.

At this point they are leaning towards keeping a grass field, let's hope they do.

Another problem with not being in an AQ conference. Bring anyone in the Big 12 South to TCU and you have a sellout.
Texas State brought more in than UNLV or New Mexico.
The Utah game was alot of fun, the stadium was packed and it was rockin.
If the Frogs keep up their winning ways I think the attendance will continue to increase.

They are actually reducting capacity by about 6000 to bring it right to 40,000. However the design of the stadium will be such that if ever needed it can be expanded to 60,000

TCU's conference has not helped out attendance much, I went to the UNLV game and the stadium was full except for the visitors section which had maybe 50 people in it...problem is the visitors section is right where TV cameras see...LOL

Baylor comes to TCU and that'll be a big crowd..BYU will have a big crowd also...New Mexico usually travels well also...

Good thing for TCU is attendance is steadily on the rise and season ticket sales this year have already broken the previous record.
