Field Playing Surface Advantage

La Grange has played on Astro Turf 8 times in the past three years. They played in the AlamoDome 4 times in 2001 and once in the AstroDome in 2001. They played on it twice last year (AlamoDome & Sam Houston State) and once this year (AlamoDome). In addition they played on the artificial grass at WISD in 2001 State Final. Everyone on the Leps has been on it at least once and many several times. For the most part they like it as it is a fast surface favoring the Lep style of play. How many games has Orangefield played on Astro Turf? Do you think this will be a factor in the game tonight?

I think it definetly makes a difference if you have never played on turf before. The thing is that it will inhance a team if they have alot of speed. Then again in OF case the team really doesn't have a whole lot of team speed so if LG has the speed it could be ugly for OF.
