So for the 2nd game in a row, I get disconnected from my opponent.

*** is going on?

I have a wireless router that is password protected and while I'm playing an online match, nothing but the xbox is connected. It's even connected via Ethernet cable.

Why is this happening. If it's going to continue then I might as well not even play since I won't be able to complete a game.

Yeah. And both times it happened was right around halftime.

It's starting to really piss me off that I can't finish a game.

Well, I was up 17-0 in the 2nd quarter when, surprise, surprise, the connection was lost. I don't know what it is about online dynasty kicking me off in the middle of a game but it won't let me finish.

So I guess I'll just retire since I can't even play a game. Sorry for all the time you guys have had to wait on me. Wish I could freakin finish a game but something just won't let me.

Have you tried clearing your cache? It could very well be something wrong in one of your files if it's happening around the same time every game.

It's kind of funny, because for a couple of weeks, my RB was awful...I was considering benching him, and if he didn't do well in game 3 I would have. But he did well in week three, and has been brilliant in the last two weeks, and now he gets hurt when I'm starting to really trust him. He had 78 yards in the first half before going down.

Hey Emerson, I just tried recruiting online, and I selected a prospect to spend an hour with, and his screen loaded and then said EA sports error, please try again. I clicked ok, and it took me back to the recruiting page and I lost an hour and can't call the prospect, but I didn't get to pitch anything to him...is there any way you can fix that, or am I just screwed out of an hour of recruiting while losing access to that player?

From what I read, they edited recruits including the ones in current years. They mentioned something about how some teams would suddenly have better ratings when their players logged in as the progression was retroactively applied. But it's possible I was misinterpreting things.

I like to play with that defensive end and getting off blocks isn't hard.. I've also been lucky to play a lot of pass-heavy teams so I get lots of chances..

anybody have tips on playing better defense against the pass? I'm having a hard time keeping the opposing team's QB under 60% completions, and there always seems to be someone open in the flat (usually a FB or RB). Even if I play a zone defense like a Cover 2 where there's supposed to be a defender there, when the QB makes the pass there doesn't ever seem to be a defender within 5 yards of the receiver.

I would advise everyone not to recruit online the site keeps saying it has errors and it ends your call using the minutes you spent and not letting you call the prospect back. Happened to me 3 different times on 2 occasions, one time with a recruit I was trying to schedule a visit with. :mad:

I use man to stop the pass, bring some pressure and press up your db's so you have time to get a sack or rush his throw. Or even just drop back in a 2 man under and have enough db's to out match the recievers.

UCLA upsets Oregon on the road!

Man, I'm still trying to figure out how I won that game. I managed to get their defense to jump offsides on two critical 4th-and-1s in their territory to pick up first downs, and their QB got hurt and had to miss a couple of plays on a drive deep in my territory late in the game, and his backup was lousy.

Then they still had the ball deep in my territory well within field goal range with 2 and a half minutes left and went for the win and threw an interception in the endzone.

The only bad part about the game is that while trying to run out the clock in the final two and a half minutes, I lost my backup RB to injury for a month. I'm really hoping my starter comes back next week, otherwise I'll be using a freshman.

Havent owned a 360 since my Soph-Junior year of high school, I had a PS3 for 2 years before selling it to my roommate who isn't living with me anymore. So now I'm on my own and thinking about buying the new 360, 4GB, and just using two 16 GB flash drives for memory. Any opinions?

What are the new ones going for? $199? I don't know how much the flash drives would run you, but I got a 120GB Xbox hard drive for $50 off of Ebay...although I'm not sure if the new systems are upgradeable like the old ones. The built-in Wifi makes it worth the difference between it and the Arcades, which are going for $149, but if you find a good deal on an arcade, you can get a Wi-fi adapter for about $50 so long as you don't need to use it on an N network.

Sorry about that...it won't happen again if it was an issue. I'm still trying to learn the game and playing around with it some and trying things out...in the future, I'll do it all in practice or exhibition mode. I just don't have the sliders set on the same level for my offline games, and I was too lazy to copy them over onto the game before playing. I haven't had a lot of time to play lately due to my work schedule changing, so I was taking a shortcut.

I tried playing my first online ranked game this week and conceded when I was down 52-0 at the half. So I obviously still have a ways to go to understand the game's nuances, and since I knew that the settings in our league were harder than the default settings, I was trying to experiment with things like pass coverages while hopefully still learning some things about my dynasty team in the process.

Sorry if I raised any eyebrows. Those of you that have known me on here over the years, I hope you know that I wouldn't be trying to pull something shady.

Well, looks like my stay in the top 25 won't last...fell 21-17 to Arizona.

QB fumbled to give up the lead, then I came back and took the lead back only to have their offense which was lousy all game long go the length of the field, shedding defenders like they were kids, and ran out almost all of the clock before taking the lead again with under half a minute.

That game is going to leave a sour taste in my mouth for a long time.

Think of it as a free 30 day subscription. Pretty much any game that has online play comes with one.

The strength of schedule factor is finally catching up to me as I'm dropping in polls after annihilating sub-par teams. Atleast I'll win something cool, my running back is atop the heisman race and is on pace to break the school record for rushing yards in a season

Also, how are y'all doing recruiting wise? I have 11 players on my recruiting board, I'm the first choice on 10 of them and 2nd on the 11th. I already have 5 4-star commits and 5 Soft verbals right now. All of those mentioned are 4-star recruits.

I WAS doing really well in recruiting, but I had a ton of visits set for this week and then somehow lost to Arizona. Still don't know how I ended up losing that game when I was in control for almost the whole time. I had a top 25 ranked class coming into this week.

The best thing about UCLA is that there are only 10 seniors on the entire roster, so my team should be better over the next two years regardless of how the recruiting goes.

Well, that was weird. He could have easily beaten me by twice the score that he did.

Every time a defender would get close to one of his guys, it was like there was a bubble around them and my guys would just start to run the other way. I'd hit the tackle button, and they'd just fall over. There was a little bit (pretty little) of lag, so I don't know if that had something to do with it or what. But I never came close to slowing him down.

Congrats eagle9, you definitely deserved that one. I was ready to give up after the first quarter.

What I'm trying to ask is should I offer a scholarship to a 1-star recruit if I end up with a couple of scholarships left, or is there something worth saving them for?

I'm on the verge of getting to 20, but there are a handful of 2* recruits from other states that I haven't offered scholarships to that would probably accept. I'm trying to gauge how many are worth it to try to build pipelines. How many players need to be on your roster to get a pipeline state? Is it 3?

FYI in the effort of full disclosure, I've started my game twice and had to stop both times. Last night I found out that I had to be in at work by 7:30 this morning, so I quit playing and went straight to bed. When I got off this afternoon, I tried to play it again, but my daughter woke up earlier than I expected from her nap so I had to get off the television to take care of her. Hopefully I'll get my game in tonight after she goes to bed or tomorrow night.

We're in bowl season folks. Since nobody had a game and nobody was allowed to recruit, we were able to skip through championship week in a matter of minutes.

Keith, Navy's DE cleaned up on defensive awards. He finished with 29 sacks.

Interestingly enough, Wisconsin and TCU play each other in the Rose bowl, so hopefully mwynn can find some time to play a human vs. human game.

I texted him earlier and he said he would try to play it. He is a teacher and a coach and actually has to work now, so I'd say it's doubtful.

In my other league we have an off season grind night. There are 5 weeks of off season recruting and another week of player cuts. Each have to be advanced individually. So we do it all in one night. That will never happen here so I say just do a week a day.

After you advance, kick me out then invite me back in. I'll pick a team who is still 4* prestige. Some teams will have changed after the advance.

Any idea who you want to be? I can do it manually for you so you don't have to be kicked out and let back in. On the standings page you can see who's ranked what.

We're in the players leaving stage, so check in on your teams and try to convince those to stay who you want to stay.

At Emerson's suggestion, I'll give each stage 24 hours before advancing, but I don't want to go longer than that if at all possible.

I've got all of those ten plus Position Changes and Training Results.

Do you have any idea what team you want? A&M is the only Texas team that's 4 stars at the moment. If you want Big XII, only A&M and Mizzou are 4 right now assuming you want one that's currently at 4.

And I finally figured out what happens when you don't offer a scholarship to a soft commit...you go back to 10th on their list. I had a couple of 3s that I was holding off offering scholarships for to see if any of the new players wanted to play for me, and I dropped way down the list of the guys who had soft committed to me this week.

Oh well, I've only got 1 scholarship left at this point, so might as well just offer it to whoever will take it.

Preseason is here! I'm working on schedules.

Does anybody have any scheduling requests as far as a specific opponent or state that they'd really like to play in? Or does anybody want a certain schedule difficulty range to aid the rankings?

TCU right now is a C in scheduling. Do you want a couple of tougher nonconference opponents Spread it Out?

I'm going to edit so that nobody plays an FCS school.

I'm thinking about not giving mwynn any human games so that if he's around, he can play on his own whenever he's available.

Wow...some pretty interesting week 1 results. I had an easy win against Houston. I have 3 WR with ratings over 90 and their best CB was rated 67.

Didn't expect Oklahoma State to get beaten. Is TCU down this year, or is Robert Griffin really that good for Baylor?

We'll be ready for week 2 once Booger finishes recruiting.

Sliders are just easy. In my other OD they are 10x harder. I was able to pass pretty much to whoever I wanted to.

I have a better internet speen and new modem/router (built in together) and shouldn't have a problem with connections anymore.
