Anyone in the area know about if indeed a 2nd high school is in the works for CSISD?

Article about new College Station High School (http://bcselections2009.blogspot.com/2009/05/eagle-recommendations-vote-for-college.html)

According to this article the new school, College Station High School, will not open until the 2012-2013 school year. The new school, along with A&M Consolidated, will start off at the 4A level but will likely grow into 5A.

What is the enrollment at Consol? I didn't realize it was getting that big.

That could be 2 4A or a 3A/4A depending on the top # next realignment.

Good district game for Navasota being 10 minutes away if they go 3A or if Navasota happends to end back in 4A someday.

From what I understand the 2nd HS will be a varsity football program at 2014 alignment...I'd imagine that will put both schools as either large 4A's or small 5A's (if you include 6A in the mix) if the 6A thing falls through both would be 4A

Turned in just at 2700 at realignment so from what that article said amc will be over 3000 when the new school opens

If the new 4A was 800-1600, quite possibly you could see CSHS, AMCHS, Rudder, Navasota, Brenham, and Waller all in the same district. But methinks Brenham and Rudder would be 5A if a 6A came to being. It would sure be cool to be playing the Tigers and Cubs again, though.
