As things currently stand, do you think the Miami HEAT will win next year's championship?

It could happen. (http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/07/08/vegas-heat-the-favorite-for-nba-title/)

It might not. (http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/LeBron-James-will-have-to-earn-titles-with-Miami-Heat)

Too many varibles to say for sure, but having 3/5 of a dream team sure helps their odds.

Worded like that, I'd have to say no. Give them a year to build the right support group around those guys though, if they can keep the ego's somewhat in check, they could rattle off several in a row.

They have a chance it just all depends on who they sign around these guys. I heard last night they got Mike Miller but haven't seen anything else about it he would be a good addition.

They might but it won't be a shoo in. Remember the Celtics are still good and Orlando was tough last year. Plus LA and Kobe like winning those championships too. You have to remember that Wade has a tendency to have nagging injuries in the playoffs and that may be a factor. On paper they probably should but the game ain't played on paper.

The key is picking up a solid defensive center who can finish when given an open opportunity. I don't think Dampier is the answer because he is such a liability on offense. Even though Boston won the East this year I still think Orlando is the team to beat in the East. I just think Boston is going to struggle staying healthy with more miles adding up on their players. If they can get a big man who is solid defensively and a couple shooters they have a good chance.
