The fourth is here and I want to try some new bbq sauce recipes. I am going to burn a ton of meat and I want to vary it up. Please help me by giving me your favorite recipes.

Take a look at this website. I have used a couple of these and have liked them both. It has a pretty good variety of different types of sauces.

If you've never tried the Texas Wild sauces, I encourage you to do so before you make up your mind on a favorite sauce. I have never found any better.

When my dad was alive and healthy in his younger years-he made sauce for a lot of church picnics in the area and I used the help him the day before
It was the most popular one around and was printed in a church cookbook back in the late 1960s
I think he cooked batches of 25-30 gallons
Don't remember everthing he used but
started with tomato sauce
butter
fresh squeezed lemon juice
spices and brown sugar
Wish he would have bottled it and sold it but not many individuals sold it that way back then
It was mainly big companies
They still use his recipe at a church picnic down in Hungerford every year but its not the same way he made it
