USA vs Japan in 2010 World Cup softball championship tonight!

The game starts in 15 minutes. USA beat Japan 4 - 1 yesterday to Japan had to beat Canada today which they did just now 13 to 3. USA has the advantage of rest but Japan is on a roll with that big win. USA must win tonight or the other win is meaningless. We shall see. GO USA!

Game has started. USA had three up and three down. USA is visiting team. Not much of a reward for being the only undefeated team so far. Now we go to bottom of the third.

After one inning it is still 0 - 0. CAT is pitching. First runner got on but good defensive play and pitching got three outs.

It was a defensive game for the first three innings but at the top of the fourth the USA really got it going and now lead 5 - 0 after
3 1/2 innings.

Still 5-0 after 4 innings. CAT was tired so now Monica Abbott is pitching and doing a good job. The USA is now 9 outs from being world champions!

USA wins Gold by beating Japan 7 - 0. A fantastic closing ceremony that I hope you will be able to see on you tube.

Japan gets silver and Canada gets the bronze.
