INAUGURAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL MAGAZINE DEBUTS JULY 5

The state of Texas is about to have a first-ever magazine devoted exclusively to its most passionate sport, high school football, when The Old Coach Friday Night Football Texas debuts on newsstands on July 5th.

Friday Night Football Texas, or FNF Texas, is produced annually by The Old Coach Network, a Texas-based, multi-media company which began in 1999, and A.E. Engine, a publisher that produces similar high school football previews in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee under the FNF brand.

FNF Texas is 172 pages and contains in-depth previews of 1115 public and private high school football programs in Texas. With the 2010 season set to kickoff on August 26, the extensive school overviews are complemented by feature stories, player statistics and recruiting information as well as predictions and rankings of every kind.

"Texas is football and our website has covered high school football statewide like no other," said The Old Coach. "The vision with our inaugural magazine is to be 100 percent Texas high school football and to focus on how the state's larger schools are positioned coming out of their spring drills.”

"I'm pleased that our team of writers went the extra mile to produce a quality product which pays tribute to Texas high school football players, coaches and administrators as well as parents and fans in every community from El Paso to Texarkana to Eagle Pass.”

The front cover includes three of the top prospects in the Class of 2011 (Malcolm Brown from Steele HS in Cibolo, Herschel Sims from Abilene HS and Aaron Green from Madison HS in San Antonio), representing more than 150,000 high school players across Texas. Notable features include “The Year of the Running Back,” our choice of “The 12 Most Influential People in Texas High School Football” and “The Up and Comers” in regard to high school athletics in Texas.

Engine. “Their expertise, passion and understanding of the Texas high school football landscape was the key component in deciding to launch FNF Texas. Our collective teams have put thousands of hours into publishing this comprehensive magazine and we can’t wait to get feedback from our readers.”

FNF magazine will be available at traditional newsstand outlets and high school campuses statewide. It is also available to order online at www.theoldcoach.com.

Hope to get my copy by next Wed with the post office closed Monday for the holiday that I don't get off.

Mail is slow down here in Bay City-I need stories for next Wed paper since it will be a slow weekend local sports wise.

Trying to hold things but that;s not going to happen. At least my space for pages are tight lately
