I really don't see much difference in the 2 classes.

All you have to look at are the 4A drops that 3A has picked up over the last few re-alignments.

Surely, 5A is not that bad.

Or maybe, 3A is just getting scraps for the dogs to devour? :thinking:

Which is more competitive and which has more d 1 talent From top to bottom, I say 5A is more competitive just because of numbers, which also relates to more D1 talent, the top end 4A schools can win titles in 5A nowadays and usually have just as many D1 athletes, however; 4A from top to bottom isn't as competitve as 5A because of lack of numbers in the lower 4A schools, there are a few exceptions like Stephenville, Everman, and LaMarque, who compete well against the large 4A/5A schools, but the large per centage of smaller 4A's don't.

3A players are smarter then 5A and 4A players.

4A and below dominate East Texas, but with Longview jumping back up and T High probably 1 or 2 realignments away 5A may be on the rise again.

They beat Westlake which was in the 5A final. I think that there is not much difference between 4A and 5A the top tier teams. The difference is usually in the Lines. Offensive and Defensive line depth at 5A's is better than 4A but not skills.

Though they will have Smithson Valley, Kerrville Tivy and Cedar Park to go through in Region IV. Still don't see any of them beating LT.
