District 29

My nominee: QB/CB Tre Lemon - Sweeny

Tra Carson is all over SDC as one of the players to watch in East Texas and I think he will be the top player in the new 15 3A.

I actually thought about putting Derick Longoria ahead of Shipley simply because as a junior he seldom came off the field playing LB/FS on defense, FB on offensive, All state Punter lead man on kick offs abusing the kick returner and of course blocking extra points to give us a win against Graham!

Its between Shipley or Longoria. I think Longoria may be the more complete athlete overall, but its to close to call.

Derick Longoria... I honestly think he is a better all around player than Shipley. The QB from Snyder is a beast--been watching that kid for a while, he is the real deal. Wylie's Joe Nasser is an all-around stud too--excellent running back (played full back and some tailback last year, will slide over to starting tailback this year and a monster at linebacker). Varsity since Soph year--doesn't happen too often at Wylie.

District 27 3A Offensively Somerset QB Stevie Dorman WR Jacob Hillyer combination is deadly. Because you can't say one without the other. Defensively Somerset FS Will Harlos can flat out get it.

I have had the pleasure to meet Joe this summer (my son has been to a few football camps that Joe has attended) and he is a very likeable young man. My son will be a Jr and Joe has been very encouraging to him. He seems like a classy kid and I wish him the best for his Sr season.

Oh, I'm pretty sure that the best 15-20 players in our district are all Brownwood Lions 1A.......1Z. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
