What is everyone's opinion on the phones. My plan is almost up with AT&T and I'm thinking about it. I really love the EVOs ability to be a mobile hotspot. Don't know if iPhone 4g does that.

The 3GS has the capability for tethering as well. It is supposed to be activated in the upgrade to iOS 4.

I had the 16GB 3Gs and sold in on Craigslist for $300. I'm using that money to get the 32GB iPhone 4. So basically I'm trading my 16GB 3Gs for the 32 GB iPhone 4. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

You can go through Radio Shack and they will purchase your iPhone from you when you get the new one. I'm not sure exactly their buy back pricing on all models but my brother's 8GB 3G is going to get him $100 from them. That would help offset some of the cost of the new one.

AT&T is charging an extra $20 for tethering.

But if you already had an unlimited plan you do get to keep it.

"What is everyone's opinion on the phones."

Overpriced and simply not needed for the simple man.

My cell bill is around $0.00 dollars a month.

But I do wish yall the best with the new toys.:)

Actually, it's 100% unlimited.

There are no limits to the number of no-calls, no-texts or no-data browsing that they do. It's actually a pretty good deal.

The only downfall is you don't get road-side assistance and you have to use a dedicated GPS system that sticks to your windshield.

You can jailbreak your 3Gs and tether now for just $10. Not $10 per month, total. There is a jailbreak app called MyWi or something like that, that allows you to tether to your computer.

I haven't tried it, but I've read where several people use it and really love it.

I've heard of PDANet, these guys give a pretty good breakdown of it.

I was just letting people know that they can tether now and not have to pay AT&T $20 extra every month to do it.

My son has one. He likes it. My daughter also has one and she loves it. The only bad thing about it, so far, it runs out of battery quick. If you get one, buy a backup battery, you will need it.
