Of course there must be some reason this will not work or it would have already been done but to me it seems like they could just drag another rig over the broken pipes, connect it and start using this oil that is presently spilling into the gulf.

Am I just crazy?

It makes to much sense, so it will not be tried.

I believe they said the pressure is too great. Otherwise they could have stuck a plugged larger pipe over the end and welded it shut. That's why they think they will eventually have to drill two more wells to relieve the pressure.

What I want to know is how come the government isn't buying up all the hay it can get its' hands on? Come on Uncle Sam, help out those hay farmers!

Sounds good in theory but it won't work. Drilling the relief wells and doin what they doin now is all they can do. One of the good things is the currents should spread this oil everywhere which means you may not see huge bunches of it concentrated in one place which means it could not be as bad as everybody thinks. What I'm sayin is this happened far enough offshore that currents are spreadin it around enough that everybody on the coasts will get impacted but it may not be that bad. Just be calm and see what happens.

Am I just crazy? Actually putting another rig over a blowout would just bring on another disaster. The relief wells will divert the oil to where they can plug it off and end the blow out. Now if everybody can figure out how to get Red Adair or Boots & Coots 5000' under water with the equipment they need hell this blowouts over with. LMAO!!!

Making the oil rigs drill at this depth is plain ridiculous. And to restrict further offshore endevours for now is like banning Big Macs after one person dies from choking on one.

Underqualified knee jerk reaction rears its ugly head AGAIN!!

My Daddy always said, "think before you speak", Obama's failure to do so is pathetically clear.
