If there is a Starbucks there they always have wifi. Also, some McDonalds have it.

Starbucks closed. McDonalds was bulldozed and is rebuilding (the original one was old).... BK was closed years ago and never had a Freebirds.

I don't know if the library has free wifi or not. It's probably closed being late in the day on Sunday, but you could drive next to the library and see if you can get online from the parking lot. Library is on Carnegie. Otherwise I'd say drive around the apartments, you're bound to find someone in an apartment who has wifi and you can "borrow" it in their parking lot!

Actually just found these:

Pecan Valley Coffee Co. at 1301 Austin Ave has free Wifi

Another address has them at 1417 Austin Ave. Not sure which is correct. I believe they are next to the new Subway though

Harris Broadband at 500 Fisk has free Wifi

Pecan Valley coffee closed.... about a year ago. It is now a beauty supply house..... but the wi fi might still work

Oh, shows how much I know (I hate coffee)... not to mention I'm only in Bwood about once every 2 months when football season is over!

I was just in Brownwood on Friday and enjoyed free WIFI at the Whataburger. The signal was very good!

Thanks all!

The sonic in Early had it. I got an ocean water, some work done, and didn't have to very TOO far off the path back home! (183south)

That wasn't ocean water... it was untreated water straight out of Lake Brownwood... get more minerals that way
