Celina wins game 1 over Paris North Lamar

Celina and Paris North Lamar went 12 innings....and Celina wins 8-2 by scoring 6 times in the top of the 12th. Celina scored 1 in the top of the 6th.....PNL tied the game with 1 in the bottom of the 7th.....Celina scored 1 in the top of the 11th and PNL scored 1 in the bottom of the 11th.....going into the top of the 12th and tied at 2-2...Celina scored 6 times and PNL went 3 up and 3 down in the bottom of the 12th.....Celina wins game 1 ...8-2.

Game 2 will start at 7 pm tomorrow (Friday) at Lovejoy. Game 3 (if needed) will start Sat. at 11 am at Lovejoy.

What a great game. Both teams showed why they are in the Region Finals. A shame someone had to lose.

We beat #2 ranked Lovejoy last week, but neither game against them was nearly as tough as PNL was last night.

I moved this over for you to read....I watched the Sophomore laden team from Bridge City play very maturely last night...abd get a load of this Orangefield walloped the #1 all year Robinson(all year) 7-4. It looks like the cream is really coming to the top at this level of play!

Congrats to Orangefield tonight....It is an interesting event when the #4 team in the state blows out the #1 rated team in the state all year,

Bridge City also from Region 3 21-3A finished off the #3 team in the state in Jasper 10-5,also in this first game of the series.

Both teams will have to beat these teams once each to be into the Region III finals.
