Thanks to Everyone in Snyder

I just got home from a long weekend in Snyder, Texas. I'm a little sunburbed (ok maybe a LOT) but I had an awesome time.

Thanks to Coach Rogers for being such a great host, folks let me tell you there's some good eating in Snyder!!

Thanks to Mrs. Rogers for providing me pictures from the tournament!!

Thanks to all the Snyder coaches who supervised the facilities and made sure me and the officials had everything we needed.

Mucho thanks to the Holiday Inn Express in Snyder for putting me up for2 nights!!! If you are staying in Snyder for a night I HIGHLY recommend it!!! Nice clean hotel with a friendly staff!

Last but not least thanks to Black Magic for making an appearance, he's a secretive guy and to come out of hiding for the SQT was a big treat!

Matt sure did a great job of running the tournament. It was nice having a celebrity in town. They posted his picture right next to Julie Roberts’s picture at the court house. Sure hope sweetwater rolls out the red carpet when Matt goes to town for the Sammy Baugh Classic.

Matt, How did Ballinger look? We had a tough year last year. I hope that Coach Keesee and the troops can rally and have a better year. His oldest son is a senior next year... he will be the starting quarterback.

Ballinger didn't look too bad...memory serves me correct they went 2-1 losing only to Snyder in a close one.....they were probably the 4th best team out there IMO.


They'll be in the Wylie SQT on June 5.

LHPM and I spotted him year before last at the Abilene Wylie/Liberty Hill Game sitting in the stands.

She was bound and determined we were going to introduce ourselves to him and have him sign the shirt.

I guess he felt our eyes upon him, because when we headed that way...he was GONE!!!!!!:p

Not sure if its that much tougher overall....I guess if Ballinger had to play two of the 3 between Brownwood, Snyder and Wylie it might be.

Eastlands only loss was to Seminole 1st game. They are good as well.
