You lose Dirk what appeal does Dallas then have to Lebron as far as personell around him it begins to look a lot like Cleveland. I mean the Lebron sweepstakes landing in Dallas is a long shot already but without Dirk there is no chance.

If Dirk is just restructuring why would he need to opt for free agency? Athletes renegotiate all the time and never enter free-agency.

Dirk doesnt need to be paid anymore he is paid enough. He is paid more than everyone except for like 4 players in the league.
