There are now 32 teams left in the brackets: nine games coming up involve teams, representing the same Districts---

Bridge City should come down to Mira or Calallen tourney next year and see if you leave with a good record ;)

To Sinton fan in Austin:

Bridge City makes it fairly deep climb each year...they play pretty good ball. They are quite deep even now with five Sophs. starting a lot of the time. Our lead Pitcher Matt Hicks helped pitch this team to the final four as a FRESHMAN, he is fairly crafty as a Senior. Orangefield, Bridge City and third team West Orange Stark are still in the playoffs at this time.

First, you guys need to figure out how to win over those two Districts that were previously in Region III, now up on your north end.

:D

It's hard for ANY team to leave one of those tournaments with a good record with the likes of Calallen, Moody, and/or John Paul in the same tourney.

OldCard hope Sinton and Bridge City 13&14 years old meet up again. Sinton had 2 of them from last year team on the varisty this year and the rest look to make a push on next year team.

yea, its good competition year in and year out its as competative as it gets down here the Mira and Calallen tournaments.

Sinton i believe has either been the region champ or lost to the region champ in the 2000's in the playoffs.

SFinA:

We could not believe it when our 13-14 year olds went that deep in Little League!
Our Hausses all played on the Gladiators and the best-of-the-best played on the National team--SunDevils.
In fact Cam Dishon a Sophmore got a triple against 24-3A District winner last week and Matt Menard our Soph. Catcher is one excellent HR hitting Sophomore.

Last season we had four teams go deep in the LL-type playoffs....Our minor girls; our LL age girls and the older Boys 13-14 went fairly far.
~~~~~~
Our Major LL went DEEP into the world series even playing on nationwide TV.
What is really neat is that BC and Orangefield's small children all start "T" ball together at the local LL fields.
BC and OF HS baseball teams are hoping against hope that they get to play each other for the Region III crown: and the winner will represent in the final four, this season.
You have to develop pride and Tradition to go to the top each year--as you folks also well know!
This local OF team lost one player from last year and then hired a Coach that his son was the MVP of a 2A District to replace this spot. They are nearly all Seniors and they are good.
Orangefield pitched most all their pitchers against Cuero in a warm up and still won, recently. Does Cuero play in those Tourneys you mentioned?
Cuero entered the Calallen tournament and went 0-5 that included losses to Robstown 4-1 and Sinton 7-5(Tyler Arndt pitched that game). All teams in that tournament made the playoffs with only Sinton,Robstown and Cuero being the 3a teams amongst some top ranked 5a and 4a teams. Sinton finished 2-3 and Robstown lost to Calallen in the championship game to finish 4-1.
This year there are alot more head to head matchups because of the number of districts. With the open districts and the byes, it doesnt take but a win or two to get pretty deep. With that said, the golden triangle, the bohemian belt, Waco, and the Victoria/Corpus area are traditionally very strong in 3a baseball.
Good point XMAN, 21-3A has West Orange-Stark; Bridge City & Orangefield still in the hunt this weekend.
Jasper & Lufkin Hudson are still in-- from the same District.
Can we identify some more that have two or more still in the Brackets, across TXs?
Great info being shared.
A lot of these teams have really quality on-going HS and Uth Baseball programs feeding the hopper.
