There's also a chain that's not in Texas, called Del Taco, that is very, very good. I had some in California a couple of months ago and was shocked at how much better it tasted than usual Mexican fast food.

Since I no longer eat traditional fast food I will say Subway and Quzinos. Not normally considered fast food but you can normally get your order about as fast as a drivethrough! A fresh sub is far superior to all those fake mexican food places anyway.

DEl TACO...:eek: ..now thats a name I have not heard in a long time.......Use to munch on their tacos as a kid In Texas City....guess the franchise hauled tail in the early 80's...good stuff.

and I was just found out this afternoon that the first Del Taco to return to Texas is coming in to Denton later this year...less than 10 minutes from my house.

I prefer Popeye's for some spiced(not spicy but tasty) chicken. The dirty rice is ok. The brown gravy is ok.

Believe it or not, but the Caribbean boneless chicken wings(chunks) at your local Wal-Mart Deli aren't half-bad. You get a lot for little coin.
