Anyone that disagrees with Arizona's policies has a problem with the nation's policies. Arizona just chose to enforce what the federal government doesn't have the guts to.

Actually, SB 1070, as worded, provides a conflict of interest for law enforcement concerning our Fourth Amendment Rights. And it's not law enforcement's fault. They're stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've called the Democrats out whenever they've attempted to weaken or legislate our Constitution in the past, so I can't justify the action just because it's a Republican-sponsored bill.

There's a reason guys like Tom Tancredo and Rick Perry have said they don't like the bill.

For the full text of the bill, click here (www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070s.pdf). It's 17 pages of dry reading and takes some extra legwork to find the bills referenced here, but it's worth the effort to fully understand the legislation.

If you want to see how to take the pieces of that bill that may actually work towards curbing illegal immigration without desecrating our Constitution (the single most important document since the Magna Carta), see here (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104239). That's how a real state does it.

Crazy Arizonans.

I loved the SNL Weekend Update bit on SB 1070 (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104239). Governor Brewer's rebuttal was equally funny.

I see a lot of parallels between this issue and the National ID Card (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lhLwEM4Afg&feature=related).

Dont see what the big deal is with the Constitution when looking thru a Cops eys..they run numerous unconstitutional search warrants granted by one of many "Judge in a box" style judges thruout our nation on a daily basis and put people behind bars because of it and never lose a wink.....this should be no different.

I agree with Arizona and hope all states enact something similar!

We need a fence from Brownsville to San Diego. Let illegals then come and work short-term on-- visas--that is what the European countries do our Engineers that go over to work in Europe for even multi-national giant Corporations.

We cannot load our system with people on all the services reserved for citizens anymore.

Biden, Poluzi, and the Socialist raised out dept in TWO weeks greater than the wars in Iraq and Alfganistan put together: when they went into office.

We are BANKRUPT and need to rebuild our infrastructures; thus, only allowing in a legal quota of new citizens!

Nothing is going to help the situation until we figure out how to STOP them from coming in the first place. This is a politicians nightmare. Much like the drug war in this country, it's a no-win! If law enforcement removes 1000 illegals per day all they are doing is making room for 1000 new ones..............Is there any wonder why they don't have much enthusiasm for the task?
What concerns me the most is the lack of response from our Government to the knowledge that the number of Middle Eastern immigrants coming from Mexico into this country is increasing greatly. The Taliban and other groups with nothing but ill intent are most likely sending 100's into our country as we speak. I'm thinking it might take another major attack on this country from within before they finally make a move to stop up the holes. Personal rights be damned! I say put up walls and moats with motion activated machine guns. Every see Escape from New York? You come within 100 yards of the wall=you die!
